Teaching
As a core faculty member in American Studies, I teach a broad range of subjects, including Dissent and Protest and Sex and Law in Modern America.
Prior to joining the staff at the University of Sydney, I taught at the University of Oklahoma for ten years. My previous courses included Introduction to Constitutional Studies; United States history, 1865 to the present; Law and Social Movements; and Gender and the Constitution. I have also taught discussion-intensive senior seminars, including a course that explored the meanings of freedom and equality in the Atlantic World during the Age of Revolutions and, more recently, a course focused on children and American law.
